Ambience Harmony Heat Recovery offers optional add ons to complement your standard Ambience Harmony Heat Recovery system, to achieve the
best outcomes for your home.
Roof Cavity Exhausting
The Roof
Cavity Exhausting includes a switching mechanism that allows the system to
exhaust the warm air into the heat exchange unit and recover that heat within
the roof cavity when it is available. This heat is only available during the daytime when the sun is shining. This operation is worthwhile particularly in
homes that have a dark coloured steel roof where the heat gain can be
substantial, even in winter. At night,
this heat source is not available and the exhaust air can be switched back to
be sourced only from within the warmer parts of the home.
This system will work automatically if installed. It will read the temperature in the roof space and open a damper to allow the warm air from the roof cavity into the heat exchanger. This air is filtered to protect the fan. The air doesn’t enter the supply to the home, only the energy that is recovered will be transferred to the air supply that enters the home.
Summer Bypass
The Summer
Bypass includes a damper assembly which allows the supply of fresh outside air
directly into the home, without going through the heat exchange system. Heat will not be recovered from the warmer
inside air of the home so no further heat will be picked up through the heat
exchange process. When the Summer/Winter
switch is turned to Winter, the air is directed to run through the heat
exchanger again.
